Jesus Taught About Prayer

Passage: Luke 11:1-13
Jesus prayed to God and talked to Him. Jesus' disciples heard and saw Jesus pray, and the men wanted to know more about praying. So, one day after Jesus had prayed, one of Jesus' disciples said, "Jesus, teach us how to pray."
First, Jesus said to be bold when you talk to God. God loves people and cares about them. God is pleased to meet our needs.
Jesus also said to find a quiet place where you can pray. Don't stand up in front of crowds so everyone will hear you pray. Jesus said, "Don't babble like some people. Those people just want you to hear their words."
Jesus told the disciples that God listens to our prayers, then God answers the prayers in the way He knows is best for us. God wants to provide for us and give us good things.
Jesus wanted the disciples to know that praying to God is important. Jesus said to pray like this:
God, our Father. We honor Your name. May Your will be done. Give us what we need and forgive us. Help us forgive others. Help us know the right things to do.
