Jesus Visited Mary and Martha

One day, Jesus and the disciples were traveling. They came to a village. It was the village of Bethany where Jesus' friend Lazarus and his sisters, Mary and Martha, lived.
Martha welcomed Jesus to her home. Martha and Mary prepared for their special guest. After working a while, Mary sat down on the floor near Jesus to listen to everything He said. Mary must have known that the things Jesus said were very important. Mary wanted to learn from Jesus.
Martha was upset that Mary was not working. She had worked and worked in the house to make Jesus' visit special. Now her sister had stopped working. Martha went to Jesus.
"Jesus, don't You care that my sister Mary has left all the work for me to do? Tell her to help me."
Jesus could see Martha's tired face. He kindly said, “Martha, Martha. You are worried and upset about many things. But only one thing is important."
Then Jesus said, “Mary has made the right choice."
Jesus wanted Martha to know that learning from Jesus was the most important thing to do.
