To know that my spiritual family here at the church was able to help me get through arguably my greatest personal challenge [and] public personal challenge means a lot. It allows you to redefine family and I'm at a point now where I'm so far delivered and removed that I strive to make sure that I can be that type of vessel or asset for anybody else.

Jesus was on His way to Jerusalem. As Jesus and His disciples reached a village, they saw a group of men standing away from the village. The men were lepers—they had a very bad skin disease. The men were not allowed to be in the village with their families, friends, or neighbors. The men saw Jesus walking on the road, and they began shouting, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” Jesus knew the men had no one to care about them or help them. But Jesus cared. Jesus said, “Go and show yourselves to the priest.” This was something the sick people had to do before they could live with their families again. The men turned quickly down the road toward the village. While the men hurried, Jesus healed them all. Jesus made the skin disease go away! Every man had healthy new skin! When the men saw their healthy skin, they were amazed. They hurried to see the priest and show him they were well. Now they could live with their families. But one man—only one—turned around and ran back to Jesus. The man fell to his knees in front of Jesus and gave glory to God. This man thanked Jesus over and over for healing him. Jesus asked, “Weren’t 10 men healed? Where are the other men? None of them returned to give thanks?” Jesus looked at the thankful man and said, “Get up and go on your way. Your faith and belief in Me has made you well.”
