Passage: 1 Corinthians 1 Cor. 1:1-31
Paul went to the city of Corinth. He helped people in Corinth begin a church. Paul lived in Corinth for a year and a half. Paul preached to the people and helped them learn how to work together and live like Jesus.
Paul stayed a long time in Corinth to help the people, then he left to visit another place to tell people about Jesus.
Later, after Paul left Corinth, people told Paul that the church in Corinth was having problems. This worried Paul, so he wrote a letter to the church people and reminded them of the importance of working together and loving one another.
Paul wrote, "Dear friends in the church at Corinth, I thank God for you. I have heard about some arguing among you. This is not good. We are all to work together in love."
Paul explained how some church people have different work to do, but everyone's work is important.
Paul loved Jesus and he loved the people in the church. Paul knew that God gave everyone work to do.
Paul said, "We are workers together. God helps each of us do the work He wants us to do. It takes all of us. Always do your best for God and show your love for Jesus."
